On Amazon reviews, I see that many people have issues with LG monitors (not only this one) in terms of USB-C connection not working from start or breaking after a few months of using. I almost bought this monitor, but seeing the reviews, I hold off. Probably I'll buy Dell P3421W or Dell U3421we because of those issues.

Edit: I had to connect my USB-C Upstream to my laptop and then both the USB A downstream started working. When I tested my BENQ EW3880r, I didnt have to connect my USB-C, the two USB ports worked by itself, does this depend on monitor manufacturers?
LG yes Gsync and I have the 3080.The USBC on the left the monitor never recognized the signal or never got USBC to DP adapter..a guy had a 7i with the same symptom and believes the port is bad.We are talking about replacing the whole MB if that's the case.. YellowMerigold.
Remove the dock USB-C or Thunderbolt cable from the computer. Unplug AC power from the WD19 series dock. Drain any remaining power to the dock by holding the power button for 30 seconds. Plug AC power into the dock. The dock LED on the power button should blink three (3) times. Plug the dock USB-C or Thunderbolt cable back to the computer.
On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Displays in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.) Open Displays settings for me. Press and hold the Option key to make the Detect Displays button appear in place of the Night Shift button, then click Detect Displays. If your Mac still doesn’t recognize the attached display
I've connected one monitor Samsung 4K-60HZ 28 inch via HDMI, That works fine. Now the second one LG 21 inch, 75 HZ, I was trying to connect via USB-C to HDMI Adaptor. Unfortunately that doesn't work. As far as I have investigate HP Victus seems to suppport Type-C to Display Port. Everything on the laptop is up-to-date, drivers and Windows-11.
Try the compatibility mode. Visit the LG official download website. Search for your LG monitor’s name, then select it from the shown list. Click the red See More button, under the Windows Monitor Drivers. Download the needed version. Right-click on the driver set-up file, then select Properties.
03-03-2021 06:21 AM. Product: HP Elitebook 840 G5. Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit) Hi! I have LG 27UL850-W monitor. When I connect it with type-c (thunderbolt) cable both laptop and LG monitor starts to connect and disconnect, like flashes. With HDMI connection, it works fine. What is the problem?
Such as the cable cheap or damaged usb-c cables can be a problem. No man. Tried 3 different USB-C cables, 3 different monitors. Chose to extend the displays in settings, where you obviously can see that it has detected the monitor. The settings for the monitor have always been switched to USB-C detection.

usb-c cable is not charging laptops, but transmits video. I've bought LG 27UD88-W recently and was going to connect it with type C cable. The seller didn't include original one and the one I was using with dell for both charging and transmitting video - didn't work with LG. It only shared video with the LG, but wasn't charging the laptop.
