WhilstI had my Alfetta 159i, I considered the 2.5 modification. It would have been a 12v 2.5 motor, not the 24v. At the time it was touted as a viable mod. The engine mounts needed to have been moved, but it was said to have been relatively straightforward. New front shocks would also have been needed. .
